HELLO!

Im Surina! I’m a desi filmmaker, writer, photographer, and artist from Houston, Texas, with an adoration of storytelling- particularly of women and South Asians. I studied at Ithaca College on a full-tuition scholarship for excellence in media and community outreach as a Film and Photography major and Animation minor. Since then (with some overlap), I have worked for Flaunt Magazine, Amazon Prime Studios, The Jim Henson Company, and Carpe Canum Ads.

I have worked on a multitude of award-winning short films, have had my copywriting published in major magazines,  done freelance fashion photography and worked as an animation professor. 

Now- This much self praise has left a bad taste in my mouth and is not something I enjoy, so I shall balance out the scales by admitting I’m desperately in need of work and beg you to hire me. And for further humiliation I will just throw in that I’m terrified of ladybugs, which is unfortunately a true fact.
